We talked about how writers were kind of gods during that time and then when we started talking about well what were the other gods at that time – Madonna,” she continued of how “The Carrie Diaries” settled on tonight’s Madonna influences. “And then we were like, what was she doing at the time and she was launching her ‘Like A Virgin Tour.’ When we saw that we were like, ‘Oh!
