The new Bridal and Festive Collection was launched at the Bridal Asia 2012 show and exceptionally features both menswear and womenswear. Included for men are sophisticated wedding Sherwani suits (paired up with tasteful dhotis and Patiala salwar) and a limited range of elegant bridal Kurtas that would perfectly fit a refined Indian groom. Pieces for women comprise royal-inspired jackets, kali lehengas, anarkalis, sarees, blouses, skirts, etc. Some of these outfits are meant for bridal wear while some others would simply shine on a festive occasion.
The dominant style of Siddartha Tytler’s collection is monarchal and majestic, with high necks, rich fabrics and bright regal colours. Handmade with finesse, the jackets feature princely silhouettes that are softened by a beautiful fit, as well as precious and elaborate embroidery.
The colour palette varies from deep red, black and blue for men, to more notable shades for women including maroon, black, navy and turquoise. Both lines find their highlights in the mix of luminous creme, beige, gold, copper and silver. The opulent fabrics include silk, lamé, linen and brocade, with floral and abstract patterned embroidery, velvet appliqué detailing plus some sequins and crystal adornments.
