Well folks, it looks like Time Warner Cable customers will soon get CBS stations back in their living rooms. The two sides have reached an agreement after dropping channels back in July and programming is set to resume at 6PM ET this evening. TWC says that all customers should have channels back in 24 hours at the latest. In a press release announcing the deal, specific terms were not disclosed but they do include retransmission consent alongside Showtime Anytime for VOD and CBS stations in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas. Of course, this means CBS will be up and running on TWC when the NFL regular season kicks off in less than a week's time. For a look at the full statement, venture on past the break.

DNP IFA 2013 preview what to expect

CES 2013 was a decidedly sleepy show by most accounts, but this year's IFA is shaping up to be anything but. Devices set for a reveal are still under proverbial lock and key, but chatter, teases and leaks have painted a fairly full picture of what we can expect to see in Germany: smartwatches and wearables, Haswell hardware and phones with 4K shooters. Join us past the break to get up to speed on what Berlin might dish out this week.

SonyDNP IFA 2013 preview what to expect

Word of a handset codenamed Honami first surfaced earlier this summer, and now Sony can't keep itself from teasing a September 4th reveal of what's now expected to be called the Xperia Z1. Leaks have been building a profile of a device with some serious photo chops: a 20-megapixel sensor that's capable of shooting 4K video. Official images of the device show that it's packing a G-branded lens along with an LED flash, and if we're taking its sneak peek trailer literally, it might even be waterproof. It'll reportedly be paired with a 5-inch, 1080P display and a Snapdragon 800 SoC. Admittedly, it's a little early to start talking release dates, but if yet another leak is to be believed, folks in the UK might be able to get their hands on it through Three starting September 24th.

In addition to its smartphone endeavors, it's a fair bet that Sony will also have some cameras to show off. Sure, the company's recently revealed the Alpha A3000 and NEX-5T, but it might just have something a little more exotic for the show: the QX10 and QX100 "lens cameras," which attach to smartphones and tablets. From rogue press shots and a manual, we've gathered that they're self-contained units with built-in WiFi, a processor, SD card slot and controls, but rely on paired devices for framing and the like.

On the PC front, Sony's confirmed to debut a VAIO laptop / tablet hybrid. By the looks of the teaser trailer, we can expect the notebook to transform by folding back on itself, á la Lenovo's Yoga line of IdeaPads, to complete the metamorphosis.

Kaz Hirai and friends may also showcase a Google TV dongle, which just skirted past the FCC.

SamsungDNP IFA 2013 preview what to expect

JK Shin and Co. have two headliners confirmed for a debut at the show: the Galaxy Gear smartwatch and the Galaxy Note 3. Although Samsung's acknowledged the existence and name of its intelligent timepiece, scuttlebutt, trademarks and patents involving it haven't provided a terrible amount of detail. A recent screenshot of a reported Android companion app, however, makes mention of NFC, Bluetooth and app support. At this point, it's anyone's guess if it'll make use of "Youm" flexible displays, especially since the firm is soliciting ideas and business plans for the technology.

Also on deck for the outfit is its Galaxy Note 3, and rumors point to 4K video capture, high-quality 24-bit audio and a 5.7-inch screen (or 5.68 inches, if you're a stickler for dimensions). An internal Three UK memo sent our way reveals that the Note's third incarnation could hit the carrier on September 16th.

Naturally, the parade of 4K screens will continue at IFA, and the Korean manufacturer is set to debut its latest. Namely, a 98-inch commercial Ultra HD "video wall," and a 31.5-inch UHD monitor. While we hope the latter will be labeled with a price tag somewhere this side of affordable, we don't recommend holding your breath. At any rate, Samsung will give up its current batch of secrets on September 4th.

LGDNP IFA 2013 preview what to expect

Not only did LG taunt us with an early mention of its G Pad 8.3, but it's also gone as far as giving us the complete lowdown ahead of IFA. Its slate packs an 8.3-inch, 1,920 x 1,200 WUXGA display, which is said to be a first for an 8-inch tablet. Within its sleek 8.3mm-thick and 338-gram chassis, the pad houses a hefty 4,600mAh battery, 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 SoC and 2GB of RAM. A recent FCC filing from August hints that there's another tablet, which will carry a 9.8-inch screen and the model number V500.

According to Dimitar Valev, the outfit's Bulgarian mobile communications head, LG has also been hard at work on a smartphone, smartwatch and a Firefox OS device. Naturally, IFA is the prime event for the company to show off its complete battery of brand-new gadgets, and we're bracing for the impact. Details are slim on the handset side, but Valev expects hardware larger than the 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro, and that a Firefox phone will launch early next year. On the smartwatch front, info is also scarce, but the talkative exec did mention that the ticker could use flexible-LCD tech.

Laptops and PCsDNP IFA 2013 preview what to expect

Computex played host to the initial volley of Haswell-infused devices, and we can expect IFA to continue the march of machines using the power-efficient processors. Not only is it a given that Intel's new silicon will populate other PCs, it's also a safe bet that convertible form factors will trickle down from Windows 8 launch flagships to more affordable hardware. Yes, we're looking at you Lenovo, LG, Sony and Toshiba.Wrap-upIFA already promises to be brimming with fresh gadget revelations, but a few other factors are conspiring to make the week produce even more news. Since there's no Photokina this fall, it's highly likely outfits with unannounced cams will make some noise in Berlin. In addition, Qualcomm is holding its Uplinq conference in San Diego during the next few days, which is bound to have new hardware and mobile tech announcements. Sure, we have a surprisingly good lay of the land for IFA 2013, but the deluge of details and specs is sure to keep us busy. Keep it locked on Engadget for the latest from Berlin. when.eng("eng.perm.init")

Not only is there an opportunity for a home based business within fingerprint jewellery, but it is also a handy skill to learn for when your friends and relatives have children. Fingerprint Jewellery is created using a variety of tools, heat, and a child or babies print. They make a perfect present worth cherishing by any parent. So, let's learn how to create them.

First of all, get a flat surface without any kind of texture to it. You could use a piece of paper if you like. Get some specialized metal clay, which will transform into silver once fired. Roll a small piece of the clay out using a plastic rolling pin.

Once your clay is ready, it's time to get the fingerprint from the little one. Make sure they wash and dry their hands first, and ensure you get a perfectly visible fingerprint for which to work with.

Now you will need to use a cutter to cut out the shape for whatever you are making, whether it is a necklace, ring or cufflink. Save the excess clay for something else in the future, and then leave the clay to dry. If you like, you can speed this part up by using a hairdryer, but that's entirely up to you.

If you leave it to dry naturally, leave if for a whole night because if it isn't completely dry, it will crack when fired, which will completely ruin it. When it is dried, use an emery board or nail file to gently smooth around the edges.

Now pop the clay onto a heatproof surface and use a torch to heat it. When it starts glowing at a pink/red color, you need to keep heating it for another couple of minutes before removing the heat. When finished, it won't actually look like silver at this point, so don't worry if it doesn't. Use a pair of tweezers to pick it up and drop it into a cup of water to cool off.

Use a brass brush under water to gently scrub the white layer off the silver. If the silver doesn't appear, you will need to dry it off and heat it again. To finish off, use polishing papers to polish it off.

With time and practice, you will be able to master this somewhat complicated process, and make quality jewellery for yourself. Whether you want to make money from it or just have a new skill, it's a great thing to learn.

Daniel Blinman proudly writes about all things creative. When not creating his own fingerprint jewellery, he is out promoting The Keep Sake Co.

The best way to decorate your models, walls, etc. in your home is to create your own decals. There are many ways with which you can create an exact image of the designs that you want to incorporate in your decals. There are different methods of creating decals and the best one for you depends on the time you can dedicate for this task and the knowledge you have of operating various graphic and photo editing software. The easiest and the most popular way to creating your own decals is by using computers.

Some Of The Things You Will Need

Before you start to make your own decals, you must have a few things like:

Computer.
Photo editing software.
Plain White A4 Size paper.
Scanner.
Laser or Inkjet printer.
Laser and Inkjet waterslide decal papers.
Cold Press Laminator.

Procedure to Follow

Upload Your Image

First you must choose the image that you want to create as a decal. If the image is in print or drawing form, then the only way to access the image is to scan the image into your computer. However, the other way of arranging an attractive image for your decal is through the internet. If you are good at working with image editing software like Photoshop, then you can also draw the image directly in the software that could be later used for creating decals. The options are many and it is up to your talent and time, which one suits you best.

Edit The Image

After uploading the image to your computer the next thing you need to do is open it in a photo editing program. If there are any adjustments that need to be made in the color, shape, etc. then you should do it properly using the software. Usually doing these small cosmetic changes in the appearance of the picture does not need you to have much knowledge of the software. Basic knowledge is enough. You must resize the image so that it fits the size of the surface where you are going to use it.

Print The Decal

First you should print the decal on to plain white paper and verify that you are satisfied with the contrast, color, and brightness of the print-out. Obviously, if you are not satisfied then you should re-edit the image and repeat until you get a satisfying output of your selected image.

Make A Print With Decal Paper

When you are inserting the decal paper into your printer ensure that the paper is loaded in the right manner, so that it prints on the right side. If decal paper is printed on the wrong side, it would spoil the paper completely and it cannot be used in the future. Use good quality paper as it will help you when you make transfers of this decal to objects.

Laminate The Page

This is optional and you do not have to do this. You should use a cold press laminator to laminate the page. For laminating you must follow the instructions of the machine. Lamination would ensure the protection of the design and stop colors from fading.

Conclusion

If you are trying to create decals for commercial purposes then you should know that using licensed images is illegal. The steps given above would help you in making beautiful decals at home.

A lot of people are looking for fun hobbies that add value to their home and making great transfers that can be applied to many things is really fun. You can create your own decals using your computer and printer and you can even use white shrink plastic for really special crafts. The results that you will get from this will be very professional and you will be proud of your new designs. It is not an expensive hobby and the special paper is very easy to buy so there is nothing stopping you from getting creative.

This refers to a special type of paper that can have a pattern or image printed on it then transferred it to a clean surface upon contact. This is usually done with the aid of water or heat. The decal is composed of layers from top to bottom. The top layer is made of a paper or a film-stock face on which printing is done. The adhesive layer follows the face stock layer on the bottom side. A silicon layer then follows and is applied to the upper side of the backing material. Finally, film lines form the last layer, which is the bottom layer of the label stock.

There exist different types of decal paper with each of them having distinct applications.

1. Inkjet Decals

With this type of decal paper, you can create your own water slide decals using an inkjet printer. You can also use this type to turn your own custom designs into decals. These decals can be applied to any smooth but non porous surfaces such as glass, metal, ceramic ware, wood carvings, furniture, candles, model airplanes and railroads, book covers, albums, and picture frames among others. Decorative inkjet water-slide decals make art projects easy to make and fun at the same time.

2. Laser Decals

You can use this type to make a water slide model decal for trains, planes, and also automobiles. You can also develop your own water mount model decal for models such as die-cast cars, ships, rockets, airplanes, model railroads and others. Water slip decals help in customizing models with logos, initials, signatures and signs. This makes a creative look original. Model decals can be printed using an Alps printer, a laser printer, or a color. It is important to note that this type of papers must be used as soon as the printer to be used is turned on. This prevents the paper from melting on the Fuser.

3. Tattoo Decals

This type is designed to create personal temporary and removable tattoos for the skin. This type of paper is fun and also easy to use and your own imagination level determines the level of creativity you get to. You can now make custom tattoos with different designs, artwork, and logos in a short time.

4. Ceramic Decals

This is a type of decal paper that can be applied on ceramic tiles, wood, metal, glass, acrylic, furniture, mirrors, and candles with the result looking just like an original art on any surface. The paper is also easy and quick to remove. They are not used on surfaces that wrinkle or fabrics that can be washed. It is also not preferred in the kitchen back splash area, shower, or walls. The major benefit of using this type of decal is that when you want to remove the decals, sponge, soap and water works well to give you back ceramic tiles as they were.

5. Sublimation Paper

This is a process where a dye printed image is applied to a coated surface such as metals, ceramics and clothing made of polyester. You only need the transfer paper, ink, heat, and pressure. The process begins with heating under controlled pressure and time. This type of designing only works on tiles, mugs, metals, and other ceramics which are made with special coating for them to accept the sublimation inks because you cannot apply the coating yourself.

If you are looking for a hobby that is craft based that will keep you happy for hours then there is no need to look any further. You can have great fun with decal paper which is available in inkjet, laser, tattoo and ceramic forms so that you can do wild things with them that are only limited by your imagination. You can decorate glass and ceramic ware, your furniture, your photo albums, model trains, cars and boats, and even yourself with the tattoo deal paper.

When it comes to purchasing a custom printed poster from your own design what are the main differences between the papers that you can choose from. This article is designed to help you select the best option in order to display your poster design at its best.

While many purchase posters off the shelf a large number of people are designing their own posters with programs such as Adobe Photoshop, In-Design, or even Microsoft PowerPoint and having them printed to custom size. Custom printed posters can be quite expensive so obviously those purchasing them will want to ensure they get the best quality print for their money.

The first thing to determine is which type of paper the poster is going to be printed on. The most common types are matt papers, satin & gloss photo papers, each of these papers have their own unique qualities but all are suitable for poster printing.

Matt Poster Papers are best used where certain lighting conditions can affect the view of the poster as they do not reflect much light making the posters viewable from all different angles. They have quite a large colour gamut meaning that the printed colours will be a very good match to the screen colours that were used when designing the poster.

Gloss Poster Papers are ideal for that photographic look and feel. They are the perfect choice for designs such as photo collages or large photo prints. They have a much large colour gamut than matt papers and are able to produce stunning photo quality prints with the colours being an extremely close match to the screen colours. Due to the glossy finish they can suffer from light reflection but this can usually be decreased by positioning the poster where the lighting does not shine directly onto it causing glare.

Satin Poster Papers are a semi-gloss and have a larger colour gamut than the matt papers but not as large as the gloss so the colours will not be so vibrant. They tend to have a slightly textured appearance which helps to reduce light reflection whilst still having that photographic look. This makes them a better choice than the gloss if the posters are going to be displayed in brightly lit rooms.

Another thing to consider is the weight of the papers which is measured in gsm (grams per square metre). Ideally matt posters should be printed on at least 180gsm as this will ensure that the poster remains in good condition especially if it will be put away and re-used from time to time, with the gloss or satin papers 200gsm or above is ideal.

To ensure that the poster remains in perfect condition consider having it encapsulated (laminated font and back) as this will help stop fading and creasing.

You may also want to check what inks are being used to print the poster. Always try to use a printing company that uses at least 8 ink colourants in their printers as they provide a much greater range of colours than printer using just 4 inks. Printers using 8 inks or more are able to produce true photographic quality at up to 2400dpi.

I mentioned above about the printed colours matching the screen colours. To ensure that the printed colours do match your screen always use the "Proof Colour" option in programs such as Adobe Photoshop or similar. The proofing option should be set to the type of printer that the poster will be printed on, for example it should be set to CMYK (swop) for printing onto commercial CMYK printers or set to Adobe RGB or sRGB if being printed onto an RGB photo printer. RGB is the best choice as it has a much larger colour gamut than CMYK. Also if it is possible ask the printing company for the icc profile used for their particular ink and paper settings as this would provide an even closer screen to print match. This is a small file that simulates the printer inks and papers of the printer being used to print the poster.

A last suggestion is to always compare poster printing companies, check which printers and papers they use and also view their customer reviews, if they have lots of happy customers it's likely that you will be one too.

There are plenty of taglines (also called straplines or slogans) out there that make a logo something special. From Nike's "Just Do It" to McDonald's "I'm Lovin' It", they say something special about the brand and company behind it. The best taglines make us think, make us smile or offer a clever twist on the brand - that's how they operate. Some taglines are as famous as the logo design, often to the point that the memorable slogan renders the logo unnecessary. This isn't particularly something that can be said of a new business, more of an established identity over many years.

Your strapline can back up the ethos of your logo. It can communicate the benefits of your brand above your competitors.

Tagline Communication: What should it do?

Your tagline is designed to provide further definition of your company's service or product. A rock solid strapline will communicate your brand promise or message. Your tagline needs to be succinct to be successful and needs to linger in the mind of the visitor. It is the mental footprint you want your clients and passers-by to remember.

A tagline can also be a way of furthering the value of your company and provide an additional persuasive push. It can be an integral part of your logo design or a separate element to be used within further branding. A catchy slogan should be descriptive enough to evoke something from your client and should be judged along four main lines:

• Longevity - does it stand the test of time? Some taglines are very much rooted to their decade, The New York Times' for example used "All the News that's fit to Print" throughout the 1980's.
• Portability/Memorability - does it have an impact on our culture, media or language? Is it something we regularly hear round and about?
• Equity - has it become synonymous with the brand or product?
• Originality - has it done something different to stand out from the crowd? Has it broken new ground in the industry?

These four variables are more applicable to larger brands, but there's no reason you shouldn't keep them in mind when brainstorming ideas.

Do you need a Tagline?

Many logos are designed to stand the test of time without the need for any backup, but in some instances a catchy slogan can make all the difference. A tagline can be the differentiator between your brand and the rest of the market. An amazing tagline may be exactly what you need to stay in the mind of a potential client.

Your strapline can be made part of your logo, and at Inkbot Design I'm always willing to work with your ideas to create a logo design that incorporates your tagline and represents your brand. If you have a list of potential taglines, or none at all, I am more than happy to help decide the best approach through a consultation chat.

Developing a Winning Slogan

Most people will choose to employ a professional, but there's no reason you can't develop a fantastic strapline yourself and involve the professionals when it comes to the visual design. Here's a quick and simple way of coming up with your catchy slogan:

1. Think about your message - what do you want to say to your current and potential clients?
2. What value do you bring to your clients?
3. What benefits do you offer above the competitors?
4. How are you different from the others in your field?
Overall, be honest, be original and be succinct (three to six words at the most).

A tagline can be the difference between success and failure but it isn't always necessary. There are many brands that can achieve just as much success with a professional logo design. A slogan may depend on how your business operates and where you want to take it.

Having a website is an essential part of being an artist today, in fact if you are an artist people expect you to have one. But many artists hesitate thinking that it's too complicated, too time consuming and too expensive. That was certainly the case in the earlier days of the internet but those days are long gone. Internet technology today has advanced so far that now anyone can build a website without any experience whatsoever, and with very little expense, or at no cost at all. Yes, that is right, there are places where you can set up a professional looking site yourself for free, and without much time or effort!

So there are no excuses why you as an artist should not have your very own place on the web. Just take a look at some of the benefits a website can bring to you as an artist:

It is a showcase for your art, making it accessible to a wider audience. It has the means to let your artwork be seen around the world by an endless amount of people in a way no brick and mortar gallery ever could.

An artist website can be used as a portfolio that is easily accessible to galleries and potential clients. No need to carry around a portfolio anymore, just hand out a business card and folks can browse your art from the comfort of their own homes.

Like the business card, it gives you the look of professionalism.

A website can help you connect with people who have a passion for your kind of art, making them feel like they know you and thus become potential clients.

A website is a remarkable marketing tool as it can help build your brand and identity as an artist. Your site is a way to help people discover your art, who otherwise didn't know that you or your art existed.

A website can be used to sell art, bypassing the need for gallery representation, in fact many artists sell only from their websites and have never used a traditional gallery.

A website gives artists who would never have a chance of getting into a gallery, a platform to show, promote and sell their art to people who would otherwise be beyond their reach.

If you still don't have a website for your art, what are you waiting for, isn't it about time you did?

Wish I wouldn't have wasted my money on this app. Especially considering I wasn't informed that you DO NOT have to buy the app to receive the emoji keyboard.

Numbers and letters just a form of communication right? They are the components that make up our language and allow us to convey a meaning to others but numbers often have a particular meaning attached to them. People become superstitious about numbers and have 'favourite' and 'unlucky' numbers, but is there a reason that we attach so much meaning to numbers? This article looks at some of the interesting qualities of numbers and the connections we create between them and makes a few suggestions as to why we maybe do this.

Numbers are often thought of as 'special' somehow, they signify something more than words but the irony of this is that numbers are associated with words and meanings and that is how they become 'special'. It's a sensitive subject admittedly but the attack on the World Trade Centre in America was carried out on September 11th 2001 which, in America is written as 9/11/2001 and the day has become known as 911. It doesn't take much to realise that this is also the Emergency Number for North America. It is therefore presumed that this is no coincidence and the attackers did it to convey a meaning of some description - what exactly that was shouldn't be speculated on - but the point is the numbers. They have been used as a sort of code which indicates a global understanding that numbers connote different meanings to simple words.

Although the aforementioned number is already 'special' because it's the Emergency Number for North America and therefore is known by the entire continent but people play with phone numbers and see what meanings they can extract from them. On a phone keypad, numbers from two to nine have a minimum of three letters assigned as a second function to them so for instance the '2' button can also be used for 'A', 'B' or 'C'. Therefore groups of numbers, such as phone numbers, can be interpreted as words. The connotations that can be found here can be read as meaningful or superstitious, or just fun, but whichever way you look at it there are double meanings to numbers they are not just face value.

Phone numbers can also be used in this way for advertising purposes - businesses can pay for numbers that spell out their product or business name in order to make them easier to remember and therefore people are more likely to call them. This works particularly well with food stuffs, a phone number that spells out 'pizza' for instance is likely to get a high volume of calls because if you're hungry for pizza but can't find a number it is more likely that you will remember this number.

Advances in cell phone technology have reached amazing levels in the last decade alone. So amazing in fact, that these mobile devices are now rightfully called 'smartphones.' You can, of course, still use them to call the office as well as friends and family, but smartphones have so much more to offer.

Lost and getting low on fuel? A smartphone can give you turn-by turn directions to the nearest gas station. In doubt as to whether that mushroom you picked is safe to eat? Use your smartphone to go online and find out. Tired of forgetting deadlines, your anniversary, or items on your grocery list? You can program your smartphone to remind (and alert) you of these dates and other important details of your life in less time than it takes for you to write all the information down (on a piece of paper you will probably misplace). Smartphones are, indeed, aptly named.

The Leading Contenders

The two leading smartphones on the market today are Samsung's Galaxy S4 and Apple's iPhone 5. Websites abound comparing the various features of these two phones from their weight, screen size, and body material down to the minutest detail such as the aperture size of their cameras. A quick look shows Galaxy S4 as being 0.64 ounces heavier than the iPhone 5, with a 5-inch screen compared to iPhone's four inches. It is made from polycarbonate material versus iPhone's aluminum unibody construction. No information is given as to the aperture size of the S4's camera, but the iPhone 5 has it listed as being F2.4.

Both phones have back-illuminated sensors, auto-focus, face detection, and digital image stabilization. There is practically no differentiating features between the two phones as far as their multi-media capacity is concerned. Both come in only two colors - black or white.

Making the Smart Choice

There are so many more features that these websites go into in such great detail, that one can literally get lost in the statistics and differing opinions. In the end, only one opinion should matter - yours. After all, it is your phone. You will be the one holding this mobile device in your hands, using it with ease (or difficulty), and learning to use all these features (or, desperately trying to). If the screen's pixel density matters to you (S4 has 441 ppi versus the iPhone 5 which has 326 ppi), lean towards the phone that clearly gives you a better picture. If you want a smartphone that can give you turn-by-turn navigation, choose the one that does (the iPhone 5 does, the S4 does not).

In the final analysis, deciding between the Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5 is akin to making a fashion choice - it's mostly a matter of preference and taste. They are both great smartphones with remarkable features that just a few short years ago were virtually impossible to squeeze in a laptop, let alone a mobile device that fits in the palm of your hands. Make the choice that's right for you.

In today's society's fast-paced environment, LifeLine understands that mobile devices are essential for a complete life. Matt McGee, Founder of LifeLine Repairs, started his business centered on keeping you connected with your world by offering high-quality cell phone repair in Atlanta, as well as parts and service. Their team acknowledges that your mobile devices are your lifeline.

HTC One is a name which seems to be hanging on the tip of every smartphone lover's tongue these days, and rightly so, as this Android phone single-handedly managed to not only slow down HTC's downfall as a smartphone manufacturer, but also to revive a bit of their old glamour, by showing a reasonable profit. This requires some further explanation, and we'll be more than willing to oblige; Most of the users must be aware of HTC's resources dwindling during the last couple of years. Though the Taiwanese firm managed to launch quite a few handsets in the past couple of years, none of them showed the leadership quality which would make them being termed as the "Hot-Favorites" of the season. To add to this blow, a couple of HTC's high-ranking officials left their jobs earlier this year, stating they didn't see any future in the company.

When it seemed that all was lost, and the hour of the "Armageddon" was just a stone's throw away, the company launched the HTC One. When this device was first introduced to the market, it had to face an enormous amount of competition in the form of iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4, but still it managed to sail through and create a fan base, in fact this underdog even managed to outshine the above mentioned handsets in many countries. Though the heroic tales of this handsome piece of machinery are never-ending, this is not the reason why one opts for this device, the real reason why this head-turner is held in such high regard is because it looks awesome, and works even more efficiently.

When it comes to smart features in an Android phone, this device just falls short of slaying a dragon by converting into a Jedi sword or something, it supports BlinkFeed which makes you be a part of Social Networks or news and feeds, you want constant updates about, by placing them conveniently on your Home screen; the other important features included are Zoe which makes your very own live breathing gallery, which though seems freaky, is actually really awesome, it also features BoomSound, interactive TV guide, and Sense Voice which ensures call clarity, even when a "flash-mob" is performing right next to you.

The outer frame of the handset is pure aluminium, which makes it tough as well as gives it a really rich feel, something which was found lacking in the Samsung S4. The front of the frame has two stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers fitted right-above and just-below a massive 4.7 inch Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen, which feels ultra-responsive to use. This screen offers 469 pixel density and has been protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 while it is powered by HTC Sense UI v5. The front of this LTE supporting handset also offers a 2.1 MP secondary camera, which besides being brilliant for video chatting, also supports HDR, although the whole phone has proven to be something refreshingly new, the main innovation by HTC has been in the form of a rear 4 MP autofocus camera with LED flash, which comes installed with something called the Ultra-pixels, though many users argue that this sounds a lot like Nokia's PureView technology, which was introduced more than a year back, let us assure you it isn't! The ultra-pixels just fill in extra pixels wherever the camera couldn't manage to place them, making the picture a lot more lifelike by adding a whole new dimension of colors.

At the time of its launch this handset came running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, which can now be upgraded to the latest version of Android which is being called the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean from your app store. Whether you want to juggle your way through screens, or load heavy websites, or open and use huge apps, you can do all this within a blink of an eyelid, as it is powered by a massive 1.7 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Krait 300 Snapdragon 600 processor with 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 320 GPU.

If you are planning to go in for this device, then you will be able to own it in either of the two 32GB or 64GB variants whose memories cannot be expanded, and in three colors which reportedly are Black, Silver and Red (which is a new addition). Using this phone even for a small duration is enough to make you realize that it is the 'One' you won't mind if not your entire life then at least the next couple of years with.
